Milorad is an industry leading Marine Engineer and Naval Architect, with over 40 years of industry experience.

 

He began his career in his home country of Croatia (former Yugoslavia), having  graduated from Technical School Rijeka in 1969 with a BSc degree in Marine Engineering. In 1978 he subsequently completed his Master degree in Naval Architecture from TSR as well.

Milorad worked forViktor Lenac shipyard overseeing ship repair in 1979, for 15 years, before relocating to the US amid the Balkan war, to provide safety for his family and maximize his career opportunities. 

​

In the USA he benefitted from  an extensive knowledge of new ship design, construction and repair techniques, maintaining the role of Special Projects Manager for over 25 years at organizations including Hess and US Shipping. In this role he has built up 15 years of experience in ship repair and reconstruction shipyards, having worked with ship owners and, operators and overseeing several dry-docking repairs on a global basis.

Milorad is an active member of the ABS Americas Technical Committee, is fluent in 5 languages, and with his extensive experience can provide exceptional value add consulting services to meet industry demands ​upon request.
